At midnight February 17, 2009, all standard analog broadcasting using the NTSC format will no longer exist. All TV stations will switch over using the new digital mode. This only applies to TV sets that are used to receive stations off the air since satellite and cable companies will continue converting their signals to the regular NTSC analog format.
