HART MILLER IOTA TRIP 2006
On April 29, 2006 six members of the AERO club W3PGA made a trip to Hart-Miller Island to put it on the IOTA (Islands On the Air) list #MD015S.  Thanks to Phil W3VRD for taking us there in his Yacht, the "INN HOCK".  We then ferried in and out on his smaller row boat which was towed behind to and from the island. The water surrounding Hart Miller Island is rather shallow requiring Phil's yacht to be anchored out about 300 metres. A total of 29 contacts were made with 5 of them being DX using an inverted V dipole designed by Pat AC3F with Frank's IC-706 transceiver used.  All contacts were made using USB and CW. Here is a GOOGLE map showing Hart Miller Island including satellite view.

The thumbnails below contain alternate text (accessibility feature) which describes the photo when hovering your mouse over them before enlarging.  The 10 minute video will stream to your computer using Windows Media Player since it is a 35 megabyte file.
